报告人简介:
Dr Haynes is a Lecturer in Engineering. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Leeds (1999) and an MSc (with distinction) in Oceanography from the University of Southampton (2000). Her PhD in Civil Engineering was undertaken at Heriot-Watt University researching sediment transport mechanics in rivers (2005) and continued at the same university lecturing in Environmental Hydrology. She was appointed as a Lecturer at The University of Glasgow in 2005. She is the Director of the Hydraulics (flume) Research Laboratory at The University of Glasgow and a member of the Infrastructure and Environment Research Division . She is also an Honorary Research Fellow of the School of the Built Environment, Heriot-Watt University. Her main research interest is the physical modeling of sediment transport in river systems, including: entrainment threshold prediction in uniform and graded beds; climate change and antecedent flow effects on sediment stability; channel morphology; bio-stabilization and eco-hydraulics; 3D flow-sediment structure and interaction; gravel-based filter systems; flood risk management and river restoration.
